[Peverelist-Junktion]

Having returned from my yearly holiday badly sunburnt and hungry for the boundless frontiers of the internet and the new music it brings forth, I feel the need to do a mammoth post to make up for lost time.

First up a producer you may or may not be aware of by the name of Peverelist, who was first brought to my attention whilst reading the excellent ill-ec-tron-ic blog. This charming Bristolian (via Hatfield Peverel, which is where the name comes from interestingly enough) has been on the dubby-techno trip for a lil' while now, along with the more recognisable names of Appleblim and Shackleton over at Skulldisco. These enterprising fellows have been fusing minimal and dubstep to great effect and this tune is a rather tasty example. Syncopated kick drums and skeletal 2-step garage percussion punctuate rising pads and a fluttering synth line before dropping a nice wobbly/bouncy bassline to spice things up a bit and bring the dubstep flava.
